Owned since 5/5/01 when it was imported from NZ. Has the dealer installed rear window and back seat. All original body panels, no welding, no rust, original un-cut front panel/grill. When it was restored the painter said "I always wondered what one was supposed to look like". All service and parts records since purchased, full owner history and miles from new also included.
1275 A+ engine, rebuilt and installed in August 2012, has 12,500 miles on it. Bored 20 over, 9.4:1 pistons, crank turned 10 over, CA2 Kent cam, big valve MG Metro head, HIF6 carb with BDL needle, Maniflow LCB header with RC40 exhaust. Transmission came from a 998 powered car so the synchros are excellent, and it has a 3.10 diff for good highway cruising.
Cooper S disc brakes, correct rear brake cylinders & spacer drums. New Cooper S copy wheels with Yokohama A008 tires mounted 10/7/15, now have less that 4000 miles on them. KYB gas shocks, Hi-Lo's on the front, all rubber springs replaced, all bushings replaced, new steering rack, rear camber adjustment plates, all ball joints replaced, heavy duty tie bars, new steering rack.
The original seats were recovered during the restoration. Also included with the car one Cobra Clubman seat and a pair of MG Metro seats that are far more comfortable on a long drive. Moto Lita 15" steering wheel, Rokee dash. Small tach mounted on the steering column along with a Speedhut GPS speedo (nice to know what the true speed is). It has the three clock dash, fuel gauge and odo work, oil pressure gauge works (50psi at idle, 70psi anything above idle), speedo wildly optimistic. Kenwood CD player with HD radio, amp under the back seat powers rear speaker boxes, tweeters on dash. Also includes a mounted and wired satellite radio mount.
My brother made the one of a kind roof rack and it will be included with the car.
I have driven this car all over the southeast and trust it to go anywhere. You can fly in and drive it home. After 16 years it is time for a new keeper.
