Exhaust is on...

It sounds soo good !!! Doesnt have the typical honda sound at all,has a nice clean deep tone and even at 6500rpm its pretty quiet.Turbo spools up nicely and sounds soo good all around.Im really happy it doesnt have that rice honda sound. In fact, honda kids wont even know anymore lol before, they new the sound they just didnt suspect it lol

Ben did the basemap out of PA, just a chipped p28 for now. Have a local tuner that will dial me in when the time comes. The greddy kit is set at 5psi for now. The car with the ITB's will have hondata s300 that is already sitting here, and Ben did the base map as well on that. Got an immense amount of work to do on 6 Mini's. I'll get it all done somehow.

Ghetto exhaust fab and 2am in the street with a chop saw and small stick welder lol the old exhaust was only 1 3/4 lol this is now 2 1/4 from turbo back to a straight through muffler.Sounds super clean and doesnt have that rice honda tin can sound at all and deffinately quieter then i thought. Its amazing how much quieter a turbo makes a car.Theyre pretty much like a muffler themselves.

I know people say run the biggest downpipe possible for turbo for power and spool but....I am trying to make the tiny turbo LAG some hence why i went smaller. Also the turbo has a larger exhaust wheel, larger a/r housing and a smaller exhaust which should make it spool a little later all around.

Hondata s300 comes tomorrow i cant wait ,hopefully can finish the exhaust tonight im tired of the open downpipe..turbo sounds cool but its just loud and not a good exhaust note lol

Your car has been a inspiration for me. Just wish I didn't work on everyone else's mini's and just got mine done. Hopefully soon, it's def a tight fit with the turbo! I'm using a jetta intercooler. I vaguely remember you running something similar. I'm just using a chipped p28 on mine with a good base map. The other D with ITB's will be running Hondata however. Keep plugging away. Hope I can take mine on Mini takes the states!

4psi No intercooler for now.Waiting for my hondata set up to come so i can work on a tune for it.I know its not right but i had an FMU on it from a mustang supercharger kit i had but it loads up and runs funky so i took it off and keep out of boost.

Doing a small a2w intercooler soon after i get the hondata set up,should be here by the end of the week.Going to try to get it safe at 4psi then add the intercooler and go up in boost to 10-12psi.I did a fresh head gasket and ARP head studs.Hope it has traction,i have a piston and rod set up for the motor then i can run all kinds of boost but the car might not even like 10psi who knows lol were restricted with these tire sizes and weight/traction.

A local tuner told me the manifold will not work due to the way i ran the wastegate further from the manifold due to space clearances and i layed into it and it held wastegate pressure fine so im going to keep an eye on it and hope it doesnt creep.I dont think it will but well see.

You really should go on superfastminis and look around. They answer all the questions.

MTB2 kit does NOT require extention, nor MTD.They state this in their add.

Also go on 16vminiclub.com and look at builds.

Its a simple swap honestly, few little issues but spend some time reading up and watching builds and youll fly right through it.

Hey guys, I have 2 questions here. I can't seem to find the answer to. I found the install manual for the D series motor and the k20 motor. But can't seem to find one for the B18. Maybe I'm blind but honestly can't find it. Anyone know where I can find it?

Second, installing the b18. Do I have to lengthen the front end for it? I found the D motor you don't need to but need to for the k20. I'm planning to do a flip front, but don't want to extend if I don't have to. The B series is pretty much the same as the D but a bit taller. Just want to make sure.

Axles are a hassle sometimes..

Having the ends of the axles where the clips go on lathed down a little, axle popped out last time out and the clip/end of the axle doesnt seem right so ive been waiting on this.

THEN...ill be back cruising.

Trying to be a troll and keep reviving lol

Thank you for all the info. What I will probably do is enjoy it the way it is this summer. But gather all the information and tackle this next winter as it will just sit there anyways. And this way any cutting I do, I can get repainted to make it look nice and clean.

I did tons of research before i pulled the trigger.I knew i wasnt going to do anything else but i wanted to know exactly what i wanted and what would work best for me.Minitec is 2 shipping days away so if i have any issues a phone call and two days and they make good of it.They are very helpful, stand behind what they sell. They have a reputation for being slow with emails...but think about how much junk mail they get,i run a business and i know how much nonsense you get.Everytime i called they helped me through what i needed.Ive recently had an axle clip issue where the outter CV popped out.Clip was not on the axle end anymore...I INSTALLED IT..not them, maybe it broke putting it on? Who knows...but they shipped me out new ones the same day..also i realized my tie rod ends were short for the alignment and they have extentions.Same day out..2 days later they were here.

I eventually will be installing a rear frame and coilovers, considering the price i was trying to be cheap and look around and find a frame or make something...but if theres an issue who do you ask for help. For that reason, and out of respect for them and their help i will be ordering their rear coilover frame in the future.

Honestly i havent even worked the car out much at all aside from suspension adjusting.Im really happy i didnt listen to a lot of people. There are a lot of things to do which people get over whelmed with and give up...

But in all reality, its very simple getting the motor in and driveable.I have had more trouble fitting the front end then i did on the whole build. And the radiator is a tight squeeze as well as exhaust.I run a 7 or 8inch fan i forget..it looks pathetic...but when it turns on it goes from 185 to 170 really fast. Its a small fan but flows a ton of CFM i love it.I drove for miles beating the car to death on the highway downshifting into 3rd and hitting 5th flying for miles then got off and sat at a light and it hit 190 at the highest and started creeping right down to 170 again.

Idk what people were talking about honestly with the car being a headache..nothing but improvements.
