I feel bad when some people try to influence other people not to buy something that other people are selling just because they saw something they didnt like, the guy might be selling that mini brcause he needs money for something more important,, i hope and pray that some people would mind their own business and give some others to sell their stuffs. The talk is between the seller and the buyer, its their choice...... Aaaanyway!!

oh thanks for explaining it Sir Dan, if not with you i dont think i can even learn to understand that there are different ways of voting. in the country where i used to live, we vote one by one, we go to schools to vote and it takes 3 months to get the result, and ballot switching happens a lot, some candidates gets killed because they are defending their counts.

Anyway, if i am to choose, i like Canada better than "across the Pond"  because some people from across the pond are fond of accusing other people and they are also fond of making up stories.  One guy even went to the Minimeet east gathering to fish out infos about me, they put up an account and wrote a post that resembles the way i post, and tell everyone that it was me. he must have pursuaded someone to sneak into my account and manipulate it or anything....anyway, that's sad and that's bad. and now he was trying to blackmail me, aaanyway...so much for that. he must have seen the account of one of my alter ego and concluded that it was me...and then this other person Rosemarie even wants to ride in his story and capitalize from it and make a big fuzz out of it @ my expense. Now i'm starting to think that that 1100 miles from cali to nevada ride is a big hoax

No Tony, read it again.
We do not elect a prime-minister. We elect members of parliament , one from each riding. The party that wins the most seats forms a government. The leader of that party only runs for his own seat. The party in power appoints ministers for the various departments. The leader of the party becomes the "prime" or "first minister.

Away back when, Britain had colonies all around the world, including around 18 or 19 in North America. 13 of them thought they could do better and revolted. They declared independence from Britain in 1776 and made up their own form of government.

The other 5 or 6 thought it wasn't a good idea and did not join the 13. Eventually, we united into one nation, Canada, acquired our own government based on the tested and proven British system, and gained full independence in 1867. Our head of state is our queen and not the prime-minister. We do not have a president. The queen is represented by the Governor-General, who signs bills (draft laws) into laws on behalf of the queen, once the House of Commons and Senate. A signed law is called an Act of Parliament because all 3 levels of government have approved it. Our 10 provincial governments operate essentially the same way, with Lieutenant-Governors signing provincial laws on behalf of the Queen.

By the way, the prime minister is a member of parliament elected by one constituency (riding). Our current prime-minister represents the riding of Papineau, a small part of Montreal. Population in 2016: 110,750. Eligible voters in 2016: 78,515. Exactly, 26,391 citizens of all ages voted for Justin Trudeau, 51.96% of the voters of Papineau.

The total population of Canada in 2015 (the year of the election) was 35,848,600. So only 0.07% of the people voted for him. It IS a different system, but it works!

What sir Dan???  only 0.07% of people voted for him??  what happened to the 99.03% of people who did not vote for him? didn't they revolt or uproar because their candidate didn't win? are the people happy? it seems to me that this Handsome Prime minister has just graduated from college. My cousin who lives in Toronto has a crush on him, I'm like what the, a matinee idol is running a country,

What i didn't like is that this guy sent several huge containers in my country few years ago and when they opened them ,tons and tons of garbage were inside, including used baby diapers, i was like really????? very degrading, very very degrading.

Here's a funny thing.

I think we're all resigned to the fact that isn't-a-specialist is a royal PITA who isn't going away, and is also probably a caricature persona of a regular member.

Last time the previous incarnation of isn't-a got nuked the 'owner' of the log-in had gotten sloppy and posted on a regular thread using the wrong account.  No evidence was available, but the mention of it had the account deleted faster than a goose will foul your lawn
This time I've taken screen shots of the mistake, and the instant edit.

So, will the owner of the isn't-a screen name keep quiet for the forseeable future, or should I post the evidence ?

We are a separate country because Canada is very different from the USA. Just a few things:
1. We have two official languages - French and English.
2. We did not need to have a revolution to become an independent nation.
3. We did not need to have a civil war, for any reason.
4. We take care of our people (not just citizens) with things like the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age security, Employment Insurance, and especially, Public Health Care.
5. We welcome refugees.
6. We have a multi-party political system, where, if you are a citizen you are automatically registered to vote, and it does not register you with any one party.
7. We have a parliamentary system of government where the party elected with the most seats forms the government, with their leader as prime-minister.
8. The governing party has the freedom to call an election any time. If the governing party does not hold a majority (when a combination of other parties has more seats) they can defeat the government and an election is called.
9. When we have an election, the campaign period is weeks long, not months, and we have the election itself on one day, with the results known immediately after. No primaries, no electoral colleges -just one vote for each citizen.
10. We don't need to own a gun. Very few people actually do. Our murder rate per year for the whole country is less than a single average sized American city.
11. We are geographically bigger. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_Canada

Once again, Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends and Canadian forum members. (the one with a red maple tree leaf beside their usernames)

Again, i cannot decipher WHY  USA and Canada are separated by a boarder When americans and Canadians looks same, talks the same, ,Both speaks same language(english) in my own opinion and from a point of view of an Asian like me(means i'm not biased),USA and Canada should only be one country and it should be called United States of America....aaanywayzz!!  but who cares, Let's all celebrate and enjoy the country we are living in, it's a gift From God.

....So the MMW2017 is over, it was Fantabulous!! to everyone who drove their minis 12hrs straight i bet when they return home, they wouldn't even touch or drive their minis for at least 10days, and if they didn't have A/C on their minis and the exhaust gets inside the cabin they inhale the exhaust for straight 12hrs, hope they're ok.     BUT one thing for sure everybody had a wonderful time!!

KUDOS to the Organizers !!!  MMW2107 Santa Rosa is a great Success!

WOW! there were about 75 classic minis and 25 new Minis that attended the MMW2017 in Santa Rosa California...Awsome!!!
..and in every Mini meets there's one thing that everyone must bring----> a Cardboard (for the oil leak)

And i don't know why only about 30 attended the MMW2016 that was held in San Diego Ca, in my own opinion, san diego is nicer than santa rosa,,hehehe, that's just me.
i personally like the Matte Algae green mini.

i just don't like the idea of "No Touching" , but overall it's a blast !!!

For a change, i wanted to praise or express my appreciation and admiration to Rosebud (the mini/not the owner, hehehe) to have travelled 1100 miles from california to nevada, that is one helluva trip, i know it because i just did a 2,100 mile trip from arizona to Utah, down to Grand Canyon, Las Vegas strip, san diego and back to arizona this past weekend, i arrive last night. drove my toyota car, and i must say that trip is too long, and for a classic mini to do that trip with a 115F weather?? it must be something,,,so awsome!!
Driving along the stretch of nevada and california desert for continuous hundreds of miles you can't afford to break down, especially driving a classic mini...., no houses,no gas stations,no police, no lights, no rest areas,no hookers, only cows and donkeys and thousands of acres of dried fields.
i must say, Rosebud (the owner) have some tremendous amount of guts to do the trip.....Kudos!!!
That is a very difficult trip, although Big Al calls it a "Great Humour"(as if he's not convinced) i still believe that rosebud indeed did the 1100 mile trip.

i still can't exhaust thinking HOW can a classic mini do a 1100 mile trip, the fact that it's has a high rev engine and a gas tank that is as tiny as my parrots bird cage, has no airconditioning, and a diagonal suspension arm that is as skinny as my pinky finger..plus minis are notorious in overheating isn't it?... anyway, if he really did that trip for reals(not imaginary) then i really admire his guts...
