I was just told I did NOT ticket for the closing.tonight  . guess after being belly up to the bar for 43 YEARS.. I deserve a FREE night??  I was told..  by owner.. he did NOT know if I was a BLESSING or a curse.. since he has been me on my best AND at my WORSE .. hehe

just in from another wonderful night the DD.. the red dirt revelators played.. with Willie Shane on the harp.. little walter and howling wolf would be proud his magic..   the LAST night is TONIGHT..

mini mover...  NO hangover here in earl NC..  i was the DD last night to go to charlotte with the girls..  they got Flock NASCAR day DRUNK..  only big al would know how bad this is person..  off to double door tonight to hear some fine blues..   last call / closing night is TOMORROW night.   btw. these last two gigs were sold out MONTHS ago.  happy new year.. bc

A sad day for blues fans . The world famous blues club THE DOUBLE DOOR INN in closing this month..CPCC is TAKING the property..  eric clapton played there in 73..  delbert mcclinton in 79.. all the greats like little milton,  tab benoit , mike zito tony joe white.. ect ect ect.   the 43 ave party is tomorrow night.. and  since I have been drinking there for the last 43 years.. I will be belly up the bar for a proper send off..with STELLA in one hand, RED STRIPE in the other..    Heard there will be a proper coffin and Danny Boy sung at closing..   later bc  ps support LIVE music..
