10 or 15 years ago I sold two holes off of a total rust bucket Mk2 Cooper S shell. One was the hole in the center of the firewall behind the speedometer and the other was the hole for the RH tank. The little that remained of the shell was then given away.

Many will remember Pooh & Hunny Pot. When I restored the sedan (and built the trailer), the nose came off but was not tossed out.
One piece, the headlight area of the left wing went into a fellow club member's Woody restoration.
Was not the only bit to be repurposed...which led to the wisecrack, "There is a bit of Pooh everywhere."

Recently I posted a smooth roof from a Morris Traveller for sale. But what else from that shell - badly rotted out down low - has gone on to provide new life to other Minis?
I got the Traveller because I was uncertain how my 1961 Countryman's roof would do since it had so many holes from a roof rack install way back when. The Traveller also had two decent rear corners.
Well I harvested both rear corners - the left one went into the Countryman's rear as the original had been pounded about. The right one went to Swindrum on Vancouver Island for his Woody build.
I also saved one good barn door (the other was badly rotted).
Have no idea where the Smooth Roof will go but here are photos of how I put the left rear corner to use...and how we addressed the problem of the many holes in the roof of the '61 - plug welded to steel straps.
Maybe Sean can post a photo of how the right rear corner got spliced into his build.
