Yes metal backplate to support the two smaller oil pressure and water temp gauges. My plastic housing Is white and this is the one mounting the speedo to the firewall.

So the metal back plate is the support for the two smaller gauges and the plate that the thin plastic binnacle cover screws into?

Dennis, email me with what you need. I have some speedo parts. It sounds like you need the plastic housing and some other parts.

When did they start using the rounded outer chrome ring on the speedometers, the early ones profile was sharper/pointed ?

No the one you show is for a '61 Morris.
A '61 Austin would have a cream background and thin red needle.

The one for sale is a post 64 speedo with the oil filter warning light.

Shawn you're the winner or should I say Laura is!

Send me your address and I'll drop them off when I'm near Alameda.

Tube or Park Street?

I would not trash them just advertise them for what they are in the classifieds section, i am sure someone on a budget build could use them.

Well good thing I took them out when I bought the Mini!

Yep one never knows what the previous owner has done.

Thanks for the heads up, into the trash they go!

That looks like a  Canadian Mini 1976-1978 version where Mph is outside and Kph inside. final drive 3:44
In 1979-1980 they changed to Kph only.

The fuel guage is not from a Mini.

Don't think that speedo face or bezel is correct for a 61 Austin

I was cleaning out my parts closets and came across these from my past '61 Austin Seven.

Anyone in need of Speedo and Fuel gauges? The speedo is less than 400 miles from turning over making it perfect for a full restoration when you want your speedo to start near 0.

How about $40 plus shipping to send them out making it worth my while. Paypal or a check is fine.

Thanks,

Carl
