Based on your description, it may be an issue with the temperature sensor in the thermostat housing - this is a common problem.  Since your temp gauge went to red, the computer may be in a 'non-running' mode since it believes your engine is in an overheated condition. 

Further diagnostics may be necessary to confirm this, but this is where I would recommend you start.

Battery connections fine. I replaced the battery 2 weeks ago with a new 1. So.i cleaned the connections .
