So I have a 63' Mk1 850 mini with matching engine. It's factory LHD and a USA import. I'm curious about how many were imported to the USA then and if that even makes a difference as far as value. I'm really more curious about tracing its history though.  I can't seem to find any info on the subject of import numbers and such. It's in pieces and requires a full overhaul but the body is in good shape. Previous owner claims it spent most of its life in Alabama. Cars weren't required to be registered until 74' in that state I believe, so there's no paper trail. There has to be a low amount of imports and only a few dealerships that would have carried them then right? Could anyone provide me with any info/links?
