I couldn't agree more. In fact, I like what you said about it being "considered cheating" to cross the centerline—I've never heard it expressed that way. That would make for a great T-shirt slogan! I give cyclists, pedestrians and equines an exaggerated amount of space as a statement of respect for their right to share the road, and thus cross the centerline if it's clear ahead

As for my other centerline indiscretions, I'm still adjusting to RHD. Even on straight sections of road, I often find that my left hand wheels are on top of the lane divider. I frequently have to remind myself to line up the center of my bonnet with the oil stains in the middle of my lane. And curbs, gutters and mailboxes seem frightfully close whizzing by my driver's window.

Pretty scenery, but there was one thing that struck me.

Rule 1:  Unless you're having an accident or avoiding an obstacle, you don't cross the centre line - it is poor form and considered cheating.

Rule 2:  See rule one.

Thanks. I've been looking at different cameras. The GoPro seems to be the best one.

It's a GoPro Hero Session [link]. The videos were taken at 1080 @ 30fps. The resolution is fine but the footage is a little choppy, so I'll try 60fps next time. The live image is displayed on the iPhone and camera turns on / off from the phone, so if it's mounted outside, on the bumper for instance, you can start & stop it remotely. I got another one today—one in the cabin, one on the bumper. I think with multiple cameras the phone displays a split screen—I'm reading the manual now. I'll post some double-angle shots in a couple of days.

This is what happens when you have a gated community and someone leaves both gates open. The fun stuff starts about min. 1:15. [video]
