Hi Ken,
Shes got a rough idle, kind of "loapy," if thats a word, will maintain around 800rpms for a few seconds and then bog down and quickly drop to around 400 and then spike to about 1400, and then level out again, but runs fine under load.
My obdII reader will not meter LTFT but it does show STFT and the short term is always in the negative, when she drops idle the short term will spike at around -15. Meaning shes flooding herself with fuel to try to level out to 0.0 right?
I have done the walnut blasting on the valves, which was a waist of $450 because 4 months later had the whole top end replaced because of a leaking head gasket.
I'm going to replace the MAF sensor next week.
Hopefully that will solve the issue. If not I will try the smoke. Would a fog machine work for that?

I've been troubleshooting this code for about 8 months now. I've looked over dozens of forums and it doesn't look like anyone has a specific fix for this code. P115C my repair shop said his reader says "unmetered air" but he has no idea what it actually is. Ive taken off my CAI and cleaned my MAF sensor with the appropriate cleaner, I've checked my pipes, hot and cold sides, vacuum lines are fine. I can't figure this out. I live in California and have a smog check coming up in September. But I would really like to get this fixed as soon as possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How does the car run aside from the error code?
Possibly a defective MAF sensor (hot file air mass meter)?
