I have ran 10x7 cart wheels and hit some nasty potholes etc and they seem fine.I beleive some of them are stamped with more of a load then the miilites etc...i went over this before..HOWEVER..

I did not like the offset as i started getting up in the power levels. It seemed to need a lot more castor to get the car to not torque steer.I removed them and went back to my minilites.I now have Slicks mounted to them for the drag strip so they sre my dedicated drag wheels for now.

Ok, so how about these. Wheels are by remington, yes the gun manufacturer, for their line of ATVs. They are 12inch. Tuff little wheel. The tires are made by DWT in China (most tires come from there now) 235/30/12. They are available from Summit Racing. The overall diameter of the tires are no more than my 10 inch Hoosers. the backspacing is 3 inches, and they are a 7 nch wide wheel. They are even the correct bolt spacing, 101.6. Only thing is Summit paints some other logo on them but it comes off. And no they dont rub on my car.

Makes me I wonder if I could get some 10" ATV tires for the front of the Moke to go "Off Roading".

Not daily use, of course, but to play in the mud.

Smart move imo.

I found a picture of these wheels on a mini and it's not to my liking

If you want to go that route they make a 4" on 4" spaced wheel. To run spacers with 12 x 7 wheels is asking for trouble and will throw off the steering geometry. With a wide offset you will more than likely have to cut the front fenders. As for the tires you will get get a lot of conflicting advice here.

I recently wandered into an outdoor sports store and saw this wall full of rims made for ATV's or Quad.
They are 12x7's and would look quite unusual on my 1984 Jap spec 998...
The ol brain gears started turning and I was wondering if anyone else ever built some wheel spacer adapters to 4x110 and fitted these to a mini
I remember seeing a picture of one a long time ago but no details ..
