Since you asked... I had finally upgraded to a fairly nice Toyota Land Cruiser and it was a real work horse. Made a run to California in February and it was great. Fast forward to April and we bought a new house. Spent a week painting and carpeting so we could move into the new place. Well, at the end of a long day we headed back to the old house. Gas guage was low so stopped and put $30 in at a local convenience store. Within a mile the car started jerking and sputtering and quit. Wouldn't start back. Called AAA and 3 hrs later (1:20 am) we're loaded and heading home. 2 miles from home and the rollback driver puts his rig (and my Cruiser) into a 4' ditch. Pretty much rolled the tow truck to about a 50 degree angle. OUCH!!!! Probably would have flipped completely had it not been for this extremely large cedar tree which managed to crush the roof of the Land Cruiser. Chevy rollback...no damage. Land Cruiser...FUBAR! Glad we weren't in it, but just being in the cab of the rollback was rough enough. Photos attached...

You are too modest Hugh, you should share the unfortunate story of your tow vehicle

Well, after moving to a new house and an unexpected change of tow vehicles, I am back on the road. Currently heading to NJ hauling a beautiful TR3. After that, will be heading home empty. Anyone have something up north that needs to go south? Give me a call if I can help.
