not sure on the temp, I'll need to check. The tough part was getting the ECU of SCs Typhoone setup to work. Even at that I basicallydo not have and idle on startup. Need to milk the throttle til it warms up. Took Nick weeks to get it where it is now with a lit of help from a friend of his who owns a custom FI shop and a friend in Southern California. There is an update to their kit. You now can get a an exhaust sensor that needs to be plumed into the header so that it will help the ECU learn. That is my next major upgrade. Good Luck.

The high standard should be what all restorers aim for.
Yes indeed.  I was standing with my wife talking with a couple of other GT6 owners when I saw a pair of almond green/OEW white Minis drive it.  I immediately went to see who they were.  Both cars belonged to Andrew Krueger and both were restored to a VERY original condition.  As soon as he opened the 1071 bonnet I saw the fan belt.  Then I kept looking for all the other original bits.  Andrew's cars looked like they came right off the pages of Parnell's book.  They were amazing.

This is a small show and there are seldom more than 4 or 5 Minis.  This year, there were five Minis including a V-Tec, a late '70s RHD Mini 1000, and three almond green Cooper-S including mine.  The -S cars spanned a very interesting short time period.  Andrew's '64 Austin 1071 was the last one built while my '64 was about the 250th Morris 1275.  Finally there was Andrew's '65  Austin 1275 with its hydro suspension.

I wish I could have stayed until the end of the show but I had other commitments.

Yes fuel injected, Yes 5 speed box, flip front end (all steel), Vented front brakes for 10" wheels, full race suspension, KAD rear disc brakes, leather 50th Mini aniversary front seats. I am sure I am forgetting some things. Bottom line is Nick did the majority of it. This is the result........

Thank you, the only reason for all the great cars, is great customers. They come in with a vision, idea or sometimes they just pick a color. Next time you see a car built by me, be sure to thank the owner for bringing it to me and let them know that you appreciate the quality and details just as much as they do.

Nick, I just came from a car show in Raleigh, NC where I saw some of your handywork.  Andrew Krueger from near Greensboro brought both of his Minis to the show including the '64 Austin 1071 -S you just completed for him.

Your work was outstanding.  Simply excellent.  You should be very proud of that car.

I had to leave the show early but I am sure it won first among the Minis.  Great job !
