Most likely the carbs will need some attention if it has been sitting with fuel in it

Remove all spark plugs. Undo the pipe that goes to the oil filter from the block. Squirt oil down the hole in the block whilst turning the engine backwards, this will prime the oil pump. Do up the pipe. Turn over by the starter until you have oil pressure. Then you can do the normal stuff to ensure that you have spark at the plugs and fuel in the carbs...........

Well I finally got the car I’ve been after for years and years. It’s a 61 mini. I still have a TON to learn on this tiny car. From what the old owner has told me is…. It’s a 1275 with dual 1.5 carbs. Dual fuel tanks. Australian doors??? Body work has been done and painted. The old owner owned a body shop and did all the work. There is no interior but I have many dusty boxes to go through that have seals glass and misc stuffs.
My first order of business is to get this thing started. It ran 18 years ago when parked indoors. I removed both fuel tanks and cleaned. Ordered new fuel lines between tanks and carbs. Got a 34 group agm battery. My plan is to change oil and spin on filter and squirt some into the cylinders and rotate engine by hand. After that I guess my next step is to try and start her. Any advice or anything else I should consider/look at? Thank you to everyone in advance. I’m pretty stoked and can’t wait to get this on the road. I will figure out posting pics soon for y’all to see.
