Aftermarket Front Tapered Roller Bearing Kit For Classic Mini
The front wheel bearings for the Cooper "S" were all originally these 'roller' bearing style. The design of the roller rather g than the more common ball bearinis such that they will last much longer under higher side loading. Thus as we have developed wider rims and stickier tires it is becoming increasing critical to use roller in both the front and rear of all Minis. These bearings are not only stock in the "S" but are also a direct replacement for the ball bearing type as found on most other Minis. Two kits needed to replace both sides of vehicle. The roller bearing for the rear of all Minis can be ordered as part# GHB147K.
Question:
My 20yr old Dinan exhaust needs to be replaced, but Dinan no longer makes this exhaust. I like the Dinan exhaust note and lack of highway drone, and wanted to see if you can suggest a replacement cat/axle-back exhaust that will sound the same as Dinan.
Answer:
The only exhausts we have for the 2006 R53 is the Borla Sport or the Quicksilver. Of these two, the Quicksilver is probably quieter since the Borla Sport is on the loud side.
Since we have not heard the Dinan exhaust in person, we have no way to know how the Quicksilver compares to the Dinan.
